Welcome to Summer Sounds at Chevy Chase Lake! Join us EVERY THURSDAY from June 5th - August 14th for an evening filled with live music, food, and fun. The festivities begin at 6:30PM. Come and enjoy the sounds of summer with friends and family in a beautiful outdoor setting. Don't miss out on this fantastic event! Food & Wine: Each week, we will have a curated list of specialty wine and beer available for purchase from Uncorked, and your favorite gourmet fare and snacks from Elena James. Our Beneficiary: Nature Forward inspires residents of the greater Washington, DC, region to appreciate, understand, and protect their natural environment through outdoor experiences, education, and advocacy. Chevy Chase Lake is hosting a festive community holiday tree lighting from 5:30-8:00pm. Bring your family, kids, and friends to a winter wonderland and enjoy live music, activities, and more! We will light the tree at 6:00pm! Schedule of Events: 6PM: Dance Performance from Rock Creek Dance Academy 6:15PM: Special Tree Lighting with special host Tommy McFly Activities Include: Live Performance from Rock Creek Dance Academy at 6 pm Live holiday music Polar Bear Express train ride Yuletide nature craft hosted by Nature Forward S'mores from The Charmery Food & warm drinks from Elena James Beer and Wine from Uncorked Face painting & balloon twisting Holiday strolling entertainers Giveaways And more A Wider Circle Toy Donation Drive Help us support our charity partner A Wider Circle by bringing a new and unwrapped toy. Donations will be collected at the Polar Express Train. The organization is providing over 5,000 new toys to children living in public housing in Washington DC. Toy suggestions are listed on an Amazon wishlist to purchase and donate. Toy and gift donations are not limited to what is on the wishlist — any new toys, games, sports gear, or educational gifts for children between the ages of 2 and 17 are welcome as the goal is to cover a wide variety of ages, genders, and specific interests.
